Printing Financial Reports
Users can print financial reports by exporting / downloading files into Excel, PDF, CSV, and HTML and printing it from those documents.
For the purpose of accounting, most businesses are interested in the Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss Reports.
Sample Case Scenario:
ABC Business started business in January of 2008. In mid September 2008, ABC business is interested in generating and printing a “Profit and Loss” report for the year 2008 and for the month of August, 2008.
Creating a Profit and Loss report for the year 2008:
- Sign in to Clarity Accounting with your email and password
- From the Dashboard, click on “Profit and Loss” under “Reports” on the left vertical navigation bar
- At the top of the Profit and Loss page, there will be some choices of date ranges to choose from to generate a report. For the purpose of this sample case scenario, we will be generating a report for the year 2008 from the date “September 13″ (today’s date)
Under the “as of” section, it will automatically default to today’s date
Under the “columns” section below the date ranges, choose “This Year” - Under the “columns” section, you will see 4 different ways to download the Profit and Loss statement for the year 2008 as of September 13, 2008: Excel | PDF | CSV | HTML
We recommend the PDF and Excel formats. - Once you have opened the report in your preferred format, you will be able to print a “Profit and Loss” report
Creating a monthly Profit and Loss Report (for August 2008):
- Sign in to Clarity Accounting with your email and password
- Click on “Profit and Loss” on the Dashboard under the “Reports” section
- Choose your desired date range: in this case scenario, choose August 1 under the “as of” section and “August 31″ under the “until” section
- Under the “columns” section, you will see 4 different ways to download the Profit and Loss statement for the month of August 2008: Excel | PDF | CSV | HTML.
We recommend the PDF and Excel formats - Once you have opened the report in your preferred format, you will be able to print a “Profit and Loss” report
